Not hard to be outright terrified at the state of science in America, but my heart was gladdened today by community members overwhelmingly opting for survey participation incentives to be donated to charity rather than to themselves, and by several people's enthusiasm about the upcoming study

Science has been replacing religion as the prevailing explanation for how the world works since the enlightenment era. Genuinely curious what is replacing science now?

Excellent research here! "When people think that insecure girls is just someone who thinks, β€˜oh, my hair isn’t good enough’, but it’s so much deeper than that and I think a lot of
the insecurities within girls that they just don’t feel
like… a person because of how they’ve been treated."

DEI is secret sauce of University of Michigan's success | Opinion Critics of DEI often suggest that it leads to inferior outcomes. At the University of Michigan, that's just not true.

The University of Michigan has always prioritized diversity when it comes to faculty hiring and research, and that is why it’s one of the best! An excellent op-ed by the one and only @liliacortina.bsky.social ! www.freep.com/story/opinio...

Male victimhood ideology driven by perceived status loss, not economic hardship, among Korean men Research published in Sex Roles suggests that male victimhood ideology among South Korean men is driven more by perceived socioeconomic status decline rather than objective economic hardship.

Despite patriarchy's persistence, growing numbers of men believe they have it worse off than women. And, new research shows this "male victimhood" ideology is most common among men who aren't facing hardship. Which means what they're really feeling is status loss. 1/

A person on a bicycle is by far the most energy-efficient among animals and machines per distance traveled relative to body weight. The bicycle is magic.
