Quick preview of the modular sci-fi kit which will release on Sunday, for free. It's the first time I've included a texture (for the floor) in my 3D #gameassets and it really makes a difference, it'll be integrated in the colormap - so it's still all 1 material/texture! πŸŽ‰

Finally, some further experimentation with custom method allowed me to inject the interference text into the middle of the tweening. A more subtle effect of something else probing the system!

Next, I played around with another code snippet @qaqelol.bsky.social provided in yesterdays thread. That gives a really nice sweeping effect for the text tweening, visually distinctive from what we've had previously. I can use this with NPC conversations with the player.

Putting in a monospace font, I found a few errors in my logic that meant it visually misbehaved. Resolving those and we have a much more uniform appearence of the text

This is probably going to sound daft (please forgive me as I'm someone with extremely little artistic knowledge/skill) but I had no idea that so much detail could be brought in via the texture itself. Rather than needing to be on the base model. Like with the windows. Honestly this gif blew my mind!
