I've been reading Assata Shakur's biography, and it really just makes me mad that I grew up in a racist household. All these years, I've missed out on so much. I've been blind and ignorant, and it's all been there at my fingertips. It's taken me until my 30s to really dig deeper, and I'm ashamed.
