Agreed, and for some people, it does. I get the feeling that some people believe that they will lose the option of buying a car with an internal combustion engine, as EVs gain adoption.

Public charging is mostly constrained by the speed of charging, but it's coming along. While that develops, the people that don't have that as an obstacle can make their purchase. Most 2 car households would likely retain one of each, in transition.

Yeah, but there's an imposition that EVs need to be as perfect as 100 years of cars, right out of the gate.

I see no problem, starting with the people that can charge at home. It's a market driven step in the right direction.

Forty years of road driving and cycling and I have never witnessed or heard of an instance of this.

There's a degree of awareness and self preservation that tends to police this.

In Georgia, and I assume other states, a bicycle can (legally) pass on the right, as long as they do not leave the road surface.

So, it actually is, adhering to the rules. I don't think it makes much sense to give up some of the advantages of choosing a bike for some notion of "fair play".
