The @datarescueproject.org has been working for the past month or so to back up "all" data that might be lost. They have a helpful tracker so that scientists can ensure that their crucial resource doesn't slip through the cracks. #StandUpForScience www.datarescueproject.org/data-rescue-...

A colleague with good connections has shared that access to data from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will be removed before Easter and their servers shut down. 🫀

Who knows how certain this is, but the precautionary principle should probably apply. πŸ’½

For sure. Also, the use of "extortion" is another great example of projection from the all-time greatest.

Powerful statement from the #ColumbiaUniversity chapter of #AAUP. What is happening at my alma matter is heartbreaking. While I empathize with Columbia's leadership and the position they find themselves itself in, one cannot confront a challenge if one cannot, or will not, articulate the threat.

Things should really start popping when international climate scientists arrive in New Orleans for #AGU25 πŸ˜‚ Or maybe everyone will just stay home. Good for emissions. Bad for NO economy and science. #StandUpForScience

After going down ~40% year on year in Norway they’re back up again here in Norway. Apparently not fascist enough to dampen the desire for shiny new things πŸ™„

IPCC SR Cities first LAM, done and dusted. A much needed respite. Rejuvenating, respectful, inspiring. A inclusive space where disagreements were treated as opportunities to teach and learn rather than prelude to conflict. And this weird mascot thing. Points for whoever can guess what it is πŸ˜‚ #IPCC

Starting things off positive. Kid2 was home β€œsick” πŸ™„ Pulled out mind storms and let him get to it. Sighs and groans of frustration soon gave way to oohs and ahhs of discovery. This is why I’m in science (generally) and climate science (specifically). It’s gonna be rough going. But we can do this!🀘🏼
