The assault on Huerta during an ICE attack on a worksite underscores the deep connection between the rights of workers and those of immigrants. The more vulnerable and precarious immigrant workers are, the easier it is to exploit their labour.

Huerta was assaulted and arrested as he monitored a raid by masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on a worksite in LA. ICEโs assault on Huerta was so violent that he had to be hospitalized following his arrest.
