Its mildly infuriating to me how often I look into why certain vegetables and fruits aren't grown anymore

and find that YET AGAIN the answer is "Because it can't be mechanically harvested and isn't cOmMeRcIaLlY ViAbLe (aka we don't want to pay people to harvest by hand) so fuck this plant i guess"

i watched a bit of that with my friends the other day! i liked it a lot

PANEL 1: a voice off-panel asks, "your name?" to which a tanuki with with a green banana responds, "tanuckus." PANEL 2: the voice asks, "...tanuckus?" to which the tanuki holds up a smart tablet in response PANEL 3: the tablet has a web browser open showing a photograph depicting "tanukis in hokkaido". the tanuki taps the word "tanukis" for emphasis. PANEL 4: the tanuki gestures to herself while simultaneously tucking her tablet under her bandana. she proudly and declaratively repeats, "tanuckus." the off-panel voice merely says "oh" in response.
