Welp, today is my birthday. I've hit the number 41. It hasn't been an exciting day, big storms kept me in doors but I'm going to make it up to myself next year.

Ok yeah, no that makes perfect sense.

So cheese on toast is a no go?

Oh the clean up is definitely the worse part. That I can agree on! I do all the cooking in my house and the part I hate is the lack of appreciation and help cleaning up after!
This is why I put on podcasts whilst I cook just to help me get through it all. Helps to take the edge off the wait time.

Oh I agree! It had a great mix of everything yet even when it was released it didn't get talked about much, especially considering some excellent actors in it!

Is there anything in particular that you hate about it?

They know Casino Royale was a reboot right?
They know they can just... start again with another Bond, right?

Oscar Isaac had a unique take on Victor. Literally a man who suceeds in what he sets out to do and when he does, he has no idea what to do after. I've never seen Jacob Elordi's other work but he did an excellent job of making us feel sorry for him. I see why they call him the creature, not monster.

And he did it superbly.

I think it's the first version of the tale where I've felt nothing but sympathy for the creature and just contempt for Victor.

It's just soulless. It's literally like a horror film tries to replicate a persons emotions without understanding what emotions are.
Even that voice feels AI generated...

I didnt manage to see it in Cinema in the end (boo!) but this is definitely a Sunday afternoon movie.
