This is an inevitable reality of the “first past the post” voting system. It forces the two party system, no matter how disparate the actual goals.

(This is also why republicans can hold power despite being a minority of the population. It’s probably the largest bloc that agrees on the same goals).

The two parties are the republican party a the not-republican party. It’s why it’s so hard for dems to govern effectively. They are essentially a coalition with loosely held together values but whose main unifying force is simply that they aren’t republicans.

Yup. I’m a Hennepin County delegate specifically to hold her accountable. On Monday I was protesting at Whipple when the Sheriffs there arrested me, breaking my finger and partially tearing my labrum in the process.

DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting.

Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.

It does include those people. I’m trans and trust me, I marked all my allies who were too lost in their own privilege to vote as a form of harm reduction. I blame them more than I blame Trump voters because they should have known better.
