I've tried different sites for this but they are always so sparsely populated with people from around here that it makes it difficult. Frindow and DrinkingPartners are a couple I've tried. Not found any apps though. It's part of why I came here - trying to make new friends.

I car share with a colleague on my commute to work and the place I normally park my car is being closed so I'm going to venture out into the rain to see if I can find an alternative while it's still light out. Wish me luck!

Half a stone lost since the start of the new year and with no change in what I'm eating (even still eating from the mysteriously refilling bowl of Christmas chocs). I guess those extra calories from wine really do make a difference. Think I'll continue to be wine-free for a while.

Hold on... I had the day off yesterday meaning I probably would have posted here but I didn't post anything and yet I feel like I did but I don't actually remember posting and I clearly didn't post anything but somehow my brain is convinced I did post something. WTAF is going on? 🤯

It's horrible when this happens. I hope it doesn't hang around too long. I always try to remember that it'll pass and focus on that - it sometimes works. Take extra special care of yourself today. 🫂

As much as I enjoy a lazy Sunday morning, it's time to get showered, get moving and do something.

Slept until 10am again. Don't know why I'm sleeping longer at the moment. I don't feel any better for it. though. If anything, I feel more hungover than if I'd had a drink. Sigh...

Other than a quick trip to the supermarket (that ended up with a smashed beer bottle 🤦‍♂️), it was nice to have a cosy day at home. It's still raining but the fire is warm and my belly is full.

It's interesting - my "following" feed is almost exclusively people who I follow but don't follow me back - very few mutuals. I wonder if that's why interactions are down? Our posts aren't being shown to our mutuals.

Well done, Tom. I really admire your dedication to writing. I struggle to find the enthusiasm to write for months at a time but you manage to be motivated every day. It's very impressive. I hope your new stories do well. x

Yes, definitely. Ice cream is a basic need and therefore it is entirely reasonable to go and get some on a Saturday night in the middle of winter.
