Support came from Fatale, who were okish. The Cords delivered a strong set of indie pop tunes – you can really see them improving all the time. DJ Hutchie played a great selection of tracks after the gig.

A brutal match on a dreadful pitch - we might just as well have been playing on a beach. Few wins should make us safe. On the bright side, I’m pleased we’ve got Shinnie for the fight ahead.

Aberdeen’s sending-off looks harsh. The double jeopardy rule applies if there’s a genuine attempt to play the ball, and it seemed more a collision with Morrison than any intent to foul. We may have had some luck in the cup, but not here. VAR must stop re-refereeing games.

Four tough matches are coming up, which may force the board to make a change if we find ourselves in a relegation battle.

We started superbly for 20 minutes and could have been two or three up. After that we were poor until the sending-off and penalty, both avoidable. From then on we were up against it, nearly snatching a point, but undone by a fine goal.

Aberdeen FC are putting Quarter Final tickets on sale just three hours before our away match against Dundee Utd. The die-hard supporters who aren’t very tech-savvy won’t get the best seats, and that isn’t right. Thankfully, I’m in a supporters’ club and they sort my tickets for me.

A bizarre match featuring 3 sendings-off and finally a bit of luck. I’m not convinced VAR should have intervened for the 3rd red card, but superb goals from Nisbet and Shinnie. Shinnie was easily man of the match & merits a new contract

I bought tickets today for Scotland’s five home matches, as well as for Hearts away and the FIFA World Cup. The SFA were very clever and gave people the wrong link to buy World Cup tickets.😆

I felt we played well enough to earn a result, but we weren’t ruthless enough in front of goal. Motherwell had a strong spell after the goal, which shouldn’t have counted due to a handball. Decisions often go against you when struggling

Forest Swords were the support act and was excellent electronic music. Mogwai were fantastic - unbelievably loud and brilliant - and I was so glad I brought my earplugs. A shame they didn’t play Mogwai Fear Satan, but Like Herod was superb.

Purchasing my Hearts away ticket on Monday morning, then the Scotland home five-game package. I wonder if the SFA will email the codes for the Category 4 World Cup tickets as well. 😀

Sensible move by the Club, as we can’t appoint a new manager until the summer. The Doc knows the club inside out and did an excellent job last time. A massive couple of games ahead – top six looks unlikely unless we go on a run like when Leven was previous temporary manager.

Mogwai tonight at the music hall – really looking forward to it! It’s been an expensive day; I probably should have just bought a new car, as the repairs needed to get it through its MOT are horrific. I’ve also booked flights to the Nations League matches with Scotland.

Looking forward to seeing The Cords at Drummonds on Thursday 26 February. I’ve seen them a few times now - this photo was taken at the Belle and Sebastian Bowlie Weekender in 2024.
