Torture Techniques from CIA Black Sites Were Used at Alligator Alcatraz Amnesty International, interviewing migrant detainees, identifies use of the confinement box. There can be no denying it is a torture prison

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

It told me, that america is so dependent on easily manipulated media, that they ignore reality itself in favour of fantasy delivered by a foreigner because they like how it sounds.

Oligarchy (noun):

A government of and by a few at the top, who exercise power for their own benefit. Their power and wealth increase as they make laws that favor themselves, manipulate financial markets, and create monopolies that put more wealth into their pockets.

Trump's Fundraising emails & linked web promotions continuously lie, in this case asking for money by midnight to get a "Tariff Rebate Check": this is a flat-out scam which would be illegal if (1) we still had consumer protection (2) Supreme Court did not tell Trump he was above-the-law.

Imagine how different the planet would be today if Republicans and their Supreme Court hadnโ€™t stolen the 2000 election from then Clinton VP and โ€œglobal warmingโ€ activist Al Gore.

Current Supreme Court Justices Roberts, Barrett and Kavanaugh were ALL lawyers for Bush during the 2000 FL recount. โš–๏ธ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Becoming a U.S. citizen takes years and involves immigrants acquiring a green card, extensive interviews, background checks, classes and a citizenship test. The naturalization ceremony is the final step to the process, where the oath of allegiance and a citizenship certificate are granted.
Immigrants approved to be naturalized went to Faneuil Hall Thursday - known as the country's cradle of liberty - for that long-awaited moment to pledge allegiance to the United States. But instead, as they lined up, some were told by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officials that they couldn't proceed due to their countries of origin.

There are so many holes in DHSโ€™s story itโ€™s nuts. They say this woman was driving her boyfriendโ€™s car, who they claim is undocumented.

ICE pulls her over, see sheโ€™s alone, know they are looking for a man, and still handcuff her while she screams โ€œI am a US citizen,โ€.

Why is ICE harassing women?

INTERESTS OF THE AMICI CURIAEI
Amici are Daniel Kodsi (B.A., B.Phil., and D.Phil., University of Oxford); John Maier (B.A., University of Oxford; M.Sc., London School of Economics); Robert P.
George (B.A., Swarthmore College; J.D., M.T.S., Harvard University; D.Phil., B.C.L., D.C.L., and D.Litt., University of Oxford); and 21 other philosophers listed in Appendix A.
Amici share with the public at large an interest in seeing the law be formulated using clear, precise and principled distinctions, rather than unclear, vague and invidious ones. Consequently, they have an interest in seeing that the laws ensuring fairness in sports be formulated in sex-based terms, which are much clearer, more precise and more principled than any relevant alternatives.
Amici have a further interest in familiarizing the Court with a general philosophical distinction, between more and less "natural" categories, which in their professional judgement is highly relevant to problems of categorization in general, including in the natural sciences and mathematics. Recognizing this distinction enables a perspicuous explanation of why it is so costly to abandon sex categories in sports in favor of alternative categories to which ad hoc exceptions have been built in.

I want to hear that all these juvenile grifters are going to get indicted. I want to hear a serious proposal for SCOTUS reform. I want a reinvigorated defense and protection for universal legal abortion and the VRA. I want new party leadership: Schumer, Jeffries out.

Nothing short of that will do.

this is a fake legal issue that's been backstopped by on-demand scholarship from academics who are part of the same project as the conservative justices. the "authority" they will cite is no better than citing AI slop.

I'm going to keep saying this in my effort to speak it into reality: Supreme Court should have at least 100 Justices with rotating panels (and maybe an en banc option). No single Justice should have so much power and they shouldn't be names everyone knows.
