I haven't sold a single book all year. In fact, I can't remember the last time I did, but I'm still trying. Honestly, I'm happy that anyone has read something I've written. That's the little light of happiness I use to keep going and to keep writing.

I'm angry every time I go in search of cover art on Adobe Stock that I have to exclude AI. It should be automatic, and it irritates the crap out of me that this is where we are.

After being out of my house for nearly two weeks, I have concluded that I am very allergic to one of my cats.

Had the honor to hear Jim Obergefell speak at the Pride luncheon for the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber.
It was an amazing experience and I'm grateful to have been here to hear him.

The world has been on fire, and I have been drowning in all the adulting things I have to do, but I wanted to jump on here and say... my brain is currently too fried to actually have anything to say.

All that being said, I'm about to graduate summa cum laude with my Associate's Degree in English. So, you know... I'm kind of proud of myself, too.

I was only 1 class away from my associate's in English. My 21-year-old said that if I didn't need a degree, why did he? Obviously I reenrolled. My son is back in school doing an amazing job, and I'm so proud of him!

Totally worth writing papers again in my 'I'm way too old for this shit' years.

My daughter was at a local high school tonight for a band competition when a man decided to pull out a gun and start shooting. She's okay, and all of the kids are okay. I, on the other hand, am insanely angry.
