What’s wild is that they’re not saying these people MIGHT lose coverage. They’re literally COUNTING on these people losing coverage. They’re BANKING on it, literally.

The bottom line: the torture of brown people is more important than feeding hungry children... and really, anything else. To this administration, he most important thing, the key policy driver, is the torture of brown people.

Current mood: furious with Mitch McConnell and John Roberts and every single miscreant who voted for the Gestapo in November.
May God — if one exists and hasn't given up on us — have mercy on our souls. We're the bullies now. We're the bad guys.

I'm not being obtuse. These are literal posts I've seen in the past few days. NONE of the ones in the Netherlands are about basic, vital needs. So, so many of the ones here ARE. Food. So many are about FOOD.

Them: Would anyone be interested in a book club?
Us: Where can I donate plasma for cash?

Them: Does anyone want to ride share to the airport this weekend?
Us: can someone help me with a couple of bucks for gas so I can make it to my cancer treatment?

Them: Does anyone know who I can call to clear and tidy up my garden?
Us: Can I come clean up someone's garden or do some other labor so I can afford food this week?

Them: there's free yoga in the park this weekend! Please come join us!
Us: I have this rash and I can't see and I have a fever, but I can't afford a doctor. Can I still go to work?

Them: I want to learn to play drums, where can I take lessons?
Us: Where can I get food? My kids are hungry and I'm out of food.

It's wild to me, what people in the Netherlands post about in local Facebook groups vs what people here post about in local Facebook groups.

I wonder what life would be like if I wasn't constantly worried, overwhelmed, and anxious about basic life things. What would I do with my energy if I wasn't always struggling? Even when I'm relaxing, even in my sleep: worry.

This is so true. Like, it's not loneliness exactly? More like, man, I wish some of the cool people I know online were available to run errands and eat Taco Bell with me.

Janine definitely deserves to live out her life with her daughter, unbothered in the sunshine.

Overall so pleased. I guess I knew on some level it wouldn't be a clean ending with everything tied up in a tidy bow, but man. Hannah.

Love the full circle back at the Waterfords' in June's bedroom, and that click of the recorder. Man.

And was that memorial at the Boston Globe? Where June holed up?

It was almost silly/trite that both June's mom and Luke suggested the book.

It's so sad that June's cherished memories of Hannah are all frozen in time, when Hannah was small. How much of Holly's childhood will she miss?

Luke is just getting started. I think they broke up?

About Serena: not sure where she'd end up. As she said, no-one wants her.

The karaoke scene ENDED me. Oh that broke my heart.

Rite Blue is a bad-ass. Full stop.

Naomi and Aunt Lydia. That was surprising. FINALLY Janine gets some happiness. I hope she doesn't ever find out about her son, and if somehow she does, she can heal from it.

Serena Joy gets to be a mom though, after destroying Boston, twice.

And BTW: EMILY!!!

I love/hate that Emily, Mark and ultimately June and Luke all left their children behind to continue to fight.
