I’m not entirely sure that I’m capable of enjoying this album anymore. I understand why I gravitated towards it in high school. I resonate deeply with themes of parental abandonment, abuse, self loathing, and living in a state of perpetual fear. But….

There were some moments of …. tongue in cheek playfulness almost in some Dear Diary tracks. Those moments were completely snuffed out by Heroine. Just track after track of unsettling rage, disgust, and abandonment
