distance makes the heart grow fonder - i really enjoyed being with my family surprisingly but man i haven’t been away from austin for this amount of time since january of this year. i can’t wait to be back in my house, in my routine, in my space.

i’m sitting in the airport terminal waiting for my delayed flight and my head did the fastest swivel when i heard little meows coming from behind me. its fur parents are comforting the cat however i reeeeeaaally want a turn 😭

also babies are such a mind boggling concept to me, like how are you so small, why are you so adorable, what makes you smell like pure joy - a very wild experience to witness a baby exist.

i met my friend’s baby for the first time and as they were motioning to hand him to me to hold i said “oh i don’t know what i’m doing” and the parents said “don’t worry, you got it, he doesn’t know what he’s doing either” and it made the whole process a lot less terrifying.

i’m watching a youtube video on boomtown and oh my god i have not wanted to go to a festival more. i’ve lost count of the amount of festivals i’ve gone to and boomtown looks like nothing i’ve ever attended.

of course as i was leaving my therapy session that was entirely about my overthinking and over prioritizing manners and being considerate, my therapist asked me if it was okay to throw away the trash i had mindlessly left behind. of course.

while i was doing ticketing at a club, i’d have auto shazam running from 9PM to 4AM and maxed out two spotify playlists with all the tracks shazam recognized. that’s about 20,000 songs over nearly two year period.
