Went for a five mile run after work. Enjoying those endorphins, which are soothing the Game 7 nerves.

I'm making a commitment to myself to get more involved, locally. This is two-fold, with one part selfish and the other noble: I need to make local friends, and I need to do more small things to make a difference when the country and world are so needlessly cruel.

We don't need AI. We weren't meant to have access to everyone's thoughts at every second. There's no reason the money we spend on defense can't be used for public good.

I know these are three different thoughts, but variations on them swim through my head every damn day.

Just went through my closet, trying on all my button-downs. Ever since I started working out a couple years ago, my body is this weird paradox, since I've both lost AND gained weight. And it doesn't help that small sizes are usually too small, and medium sizes often fit me like a sleeping bag. 🫥

Since accessing FS1 is apparently not in the cards, I may do tonight's game the old-fashioned way: radio.

Happy discovery: the Y that's five minutes from my apartment has a basketball court. I don't need to drive 20 minutes to the next town over. I ran myself into the ground this afternoon, in a good way. 90 minutes of shooting and legwork. Still working on my handles, but they're getting better.

Maybe I still have unhealthy people-pleasing traits, but this morning, my dentist patted my shoulder and told me to keep up the good work, and goddamn, I'll be riding this high until at least mid-afternoon.
