It’s a brilliant TV movie. I used it as a focus for a teaching session about directing drama. The scene where the Woman in Black appears over the bed and looms into him is brilliant, and I remember when it was shown on ITV faded into black for a commercial break in a very effective and dramatic way.

Oh this has potential! A new anthology series building on Play for Today. Terrific for new talent to cut their teeth. The BBC should be doing this sort of thing as well.

If you are referring to other season 21 stories, they are all made in one overlapping period of production for the different stories and therefore very difficult I would imagine to learn lessons and change approach / monster requirements during this period.

I really like these recreated studio spaces - thanks for sharing them. This one also solves a query I always had, I was sure you could see a piece of TARDIS interior out of focus behind one of the companion CUs when they all crouch next to him when he is going to regenerate… now it’s clear why!

Today’s madness:
Painting a pergola I built over the summer. It got dark so I carried on painting using an uplighter and a small spotlight. Turns out painting in the dark is particularly helpful on the second coat, as it shines in the light, so you can clearly see where you’ve painted. #lockmeup

Just got a new TV, and my goodness — watching the Jaws 4K Blu-ray on it reveals so much detail I'd never noticed before.
