Everyone is celebrating him for his (obviously wonderful) songs but I am also celebrating him for releasing all his works into the public domain and insisting he retained no copyrights over any of it.

I was just in Mpls, visiting my parents in Longfellow. The East Lake corridor has jumped back surprisingly well, considering its recent history (albeit with some still-vacant store fronts.) Seems like some other neighborhoods have had a harder time.

My mom gave me a big folder with every report card of mine from preschool (age 3) through college. The key takeaway is that I was a creative and bright kid who was easily distracted and never shut the fuck up.
