This is a must read, if you've not, and a re-read if you have. Or listen to the podcast.
If listening, I'd recommend doing it while spliting logs or dig a drainage ditch. It is better than the induced road rage.
Then buckle up and get to work. These power hungry twits play a long game. Let's go.

We need to ensure that we get universal single-payer healthcare, AKA Medicare for All.
Why?
Better outcomes, lower costs.
Decouple from the profit for CEOs and shareholders insurance model.
Healthcare is a human right.

Circular workflow diagram: Grassroots Left mobilization happens, to Mobilization becomes a threat to the the status quo, to Democrats find representatives of the most moderate elements, co-opt and hire them, to Co-opted leaders use the language of popular movement to funnel energy back into the electoral system, to NOTHING FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGES, and back to Grassroots left mobilization happens, repeat.

In my observation of the UK, I see a Labour party that decided to go Tory Lite. And they are still screwed.

Lesson: Offer programs and ideas that uplift your base and stop trying to appeal to the people who will aways hate you.

Very ugly.
People need stability to plan their lives. With ACA in the "we'll vote later" stage, I can only do worst case scenario planning.
If the capitalists wanted me to spend money on anything but food, housing, and healthcare, they should reallocate their portfolios.

I'm a constituent you threw under the bus so that you could appear both powerless and moderate as you try to run for governor of Colorado.

A true leader fights.

Colorado doesn't need your brand of mediocrity. Just sit tight in your safe senate seat until you are up for re-election in 2028.

Congress gets government healthcare.

That should end and elected officials should get insurance from the ACA marketplace.

They need skin in the game.

Although healthcare expenditure per capita is higher for the United States than any other country, over 37 million Americans are entirely without health insurance and 41 million more have inadequate access to care. Whereas ongoing efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act would exacerbate healthcare inequities, a universal system, such as that proposed in the Medicare for All Act (MAA), has the potential to transform the availability and efficiency of American healthcare. Taking into account both the costs of coverage expansion as well as savings that would be achieved through the MAA, we calculate that a single-payer, universal healthcare system is likely to lead to a 13% savings in national healthcare expenditure, equivalent to over $450 billion annually. The entire system could be funded with less financial outlay than is currently incurred by employers and households through healthcare premiums, as well as existing government allocations. This shift to single-payer healthcare would provide the greatest relief to lower-income households. Furthermore, we estimate that ensuring healthcare access for all Americans would save over 68,000 lives and 1.73 million life-years every year.

Single-payer healthcare (Medicare for All) is a more cost effective solution.

What is the messaging for that scenario?

I'm ready to join the 21st century with single payer healthcare: Lower cost, better outcomes.

Can we do it all at once? No. But we can lower the Medicare eligiblity age to 55. This provides incremental roll out and protects seniors in our increasingly volitile job market.

Black American soldiers literally dug these WWII graves. Traumatic. To acknowledge that fact at a cemetery they helped construct is something the Heritage Foundation cannot accept. As Veterans Day approaches, never forget that this country both compels and disrespects Black military service. Always.
