Over a 30 year career, I thought about resigning several times, but worked through the tough times & never did take the plunge. I'm glad I didn't quit, as things got better & I got older & calmer. I put my job into some perspective, that it wasn't the be all/end all in life. I enjoyed it to the end.

The biggest fear is at the next general election, when the right-wing media will switch up a gear with a torrent of anti Govt propaganda, lies & spin. They're not interested in truth, or facts. The record of the Govt may be superb, but the media will ignore it. Brexit was won by similar methods.

Their domination of the media is unparalleled. It includes the BBC, which is tainted with senior ex-GB News bosses, now holding similar roles inside the BBC. It is a worrying trend and come the next general election, their influence and power may swing the result towards Reform/Tories.

I'm with you on it. Legislation has been introduced on porn and age related restrictions thru' all of the EU and the UK. Australia has set the tone by banning social media to those under 16. There is no restriction on lies and deception in the political sphere (yet).

I agree, put the responsibility on the providers. When Musk took over Twitter, he butchered the oversight dept, that monitored bad behaviour/lies/complaints. We see the result. The Eu should say, if you want to operate inside the EU you'll have to meet the same safety criteria of the old Twitter.

I'm UK, but I can guess what you are referring to. It may be becaue of a generational - regional interpretation. 🙂🤔
