What we are seeing in the UK now, is the same as FDR had in the 1930's. Big money, through their ownership of the media, trying to bring down the Prime Minister. FDR took them on and won, serving 3 terms as President and guiding the US through the events of the Great Depression and WW2.

Farage has 0.6% of MPs and yet has appeared in 25% of BBC 10pm news items and programmes.

The BBC hacks gorging themselves over Mandelson & going after the PM. Whilst doing that, they haven't forgotten their love affair with Reform. They've given them a nice advert to raise their profile, with a 1 hour documentary, by Kneussberg. Having so many right-wingers in the BBC is paying off.

You are right. All the media, with a few small exceptions want a Reform Govt, or settle for a Tory one. They want what has happened in the US. with Farage as the wannabe Trump. The media owners will then hold the power and Reform will let get even more wealthy. It'll be a spivs/crooks paradise.

Those very same media owners want Starmer/Labout out, so they can get a tame Reform Govt in and run the UK like the US, where they become even more wealthy and retain power over the Govt.

Some good news, for a change. Putin looking for a 'victory' way out of the war before Russia collapses and him along with it.

I dumped Private Eye, when some Eye hack wrote an article mocking Captain Robert Nairac, after he had been murdered by the IRA. It was ghastly and in very bad taste.

BBC news/politics is down and out, compared to what I remember it to be. It has been taken over by the Conservatives, during their 14 year term. Their coverage is so tabloid newspaper thses days.

The UK has the most right-wing press in Europe. Dominated by a handful of wealthy owner, who don't even live in the country. Private power, interfering in democracy.

Faint hearts. As if replacing Starmer is the magic that will guarantee Labour will win a general election. Blair went & Brown came in & lost. The left under Corbyn got their chance & lost, twice. Starmer has been PM for 18 months. He has another 3+ years to go. Cutting & running now is madness.

There have always been hypocritical types in Labour. They ride on the back of the party & under its banner to get elected, yet are willing to be disloyal when it suits them & they can't have their own way. Before any of that happens, they have to have a nuclear weapon, which is transportable, safe and with techinical expertise and support.
