I follow a creator that did a deep dive on twin representation. My goal after watching was to create a set of twins that are similar in having grown up in the same environment with one another, but they have slightly different motivations or desires deep down. They're siblings who share a birthday

Day 4: can they see their own flaws?
They can see each other's and think that the best way to help is by digging into their own. Charlie runs away from his emotions and closes off while Evie decides that things cannot be as bad as they feel so she will ignore it

Day 3: Physically, the twins don't mind! They visit their grandparents often so they sort of know some things about town. Emotionally... they're parents disappeared si they've got a lot going on on the emotional front. Evie does more to make the best of their situation and Charlie is closed off.

Day 2: The twins' favorite people in the world are each other first but if not them, their parents... at least at the beginning. Once they find out their parents have been hiding a big secret, the trust is broken. Evie uses distraction and Charlie uses research to get to the bottom of things

Day 1: Howl's did they get their name?
Their family has a lot of old fashioned names (and some family secrets 👀). They are twins but one grew up and transitioned!
Evie: it comes from Evangeline!
Charlie: started off as a very early nickname off of Charlotte that he took when he transitioned!

What is it about family upheaval that makes me want to get back to my story about children needing to find their parents more than anything? 🤔 I'm sure a therapist wouldn't have anything to say about this.....

Short Story WIP:
- FMC with Hypermobilty/HEDS (undiagnosed)
- Vampire Duchess (very beautiful)
- single setting story (duchess' chateau)
- "I can take you away from all this" sapphic vines
- around 5k

Am I going to submit this anywhere or just let my friends read it? Only time will tell

I did not imagine that a month later I would consider this version of myself optimistic.... but then the car broke and so did I. Still waiting to start on short story 2 🫠

After getting 4/6 Alpha Reader feedback, having a flare up of joint pain, and taking my fiancee to the ER for stitches, I might FINALLY be getting down into my next short story in the collection.... I expected to be onto the 3rd by now but hey that's what I get for making plans

Alpha Reader emails have been sent out..... does the anxiety calm down or do I just live like this now?

The only thing that's going to get me through my fiancee leaving me (for a 4 day vacation) will be posting up in a coffee shop to do some editing and writing

Decided to change up the whole idea for my 52k WIP and make it a collection of smaller stories instead..... will I regret this when I have to start spending my own money on it? Probably but I'm tired of giv8ng myself the excuse NOT to out my work out there! Time to be bold!

Also already embarrassed to look at what my total word count was for Nov.... 50k was a nice dream before the election

Genuinely thinking of leaving my first big WIP (45k I think) as sets of shorter fantasy stories (between 8 and 10k each) but idk how to go about
1) finding a publisher for that or
2) self publishing and finding a MARKET for that
