China NEV sales rise to nearly 1.4 million in Aug as exports double, CAAM data show BEV sales in August rose 40.5 percent year-on-year, while PHEV sales grew 7.5 percent.

Yet PHEV sales do not rise in Chinese market as much as BEVs do (for example in August BEV +40% YoY, PHEV +8%).

I'm not sure many folks realize just how persistent the warming from CO2 is.

Here is a set of 1000-year climate model runs (using FaIR) simulating one year of CO2 emissions (40 gigatons in 2020); a millennia later the world has not cooled back down!

Currently the EU-wide target is 93.6 but then the exact value for each manufacturer is somehow adjusted.

The fleet emmission rules (fines for co2 above a threshold, which is since 1/2025 around 91g/km I think? until 2030 when that drops to 49g/km and then to 0 in 2035) are EU-wide incentives, or disincentives, and have been since 2020 or so. Some countries have additional policies in place.

Especially "funny" that the heads of both ANO and SPD are not Czechs sensu stricto - Babis is Slovak who moved to Czechia in the 90s and Okamura is half-japanese born in Tokio.

We focus way too much on what politicians say ,or allegedly believe, rather than what they actually do.

Alleged “beliefs” are also often used to justify illiberal and undemocratic policies and rhetoric.

Hello from Slovakia. By law you have to carry ID unless you are in your home town, but there is no fine or punishment if you don't.
OTOH it's very practical compared to the ID chaos in the UK.

Oh no, I'm a complete fan of replacing fossil fuels with clean electricity everywhere ASAP. It's just not going to be as fast as some of us wish. Even in Norway with 97% BEV marketshare the fossil fuel usage is going down slowly.

That's not up to you to decide, is it.
