My worry is the families that came with them. If we revet and revoke, this could be a family of 10 sent back since their status is all connected. That’s kids who spent four years in our culture and educational systems…can’t imagine doing that, especially to a teenage girl.

Debating keeping a journal of all the stupid stuff the government (primarily USCIS) does with clients and cases. Not sure if it'd be cathartic or depressing.

Truth. Went to a green card interview last year. USC got arrested during the interview (old warrant). Wife continued with the interview. We got a denial saying we failed to appear. Filed an appeal - denied. They’re gaslighting us and no one cares about the truth. There is no give, no common sense.

That was such a great day! I re-watched our videos earlier today...I miss being hopeful and optimistic!

Shame on you, Governor Kemp! I pray you and your family never know the hunger you're about to allow on 1.4 million Georgians. How can you deny feeding families when we have a surplus of money? Your "we can't fund every program" argument is weak - we all agree children shouldn't starve.

I feel like we immigration attorneys forget how abnormal it is. We're not shocked by it because it's what our clients tell us. You never get used to it, though. It's good when "outsiders" hear this, see it, and remind us to stay shocked and to stay fighting against it.

I don't think I can get any more outraged and then a story like this pops up. ICE detained a breast-feeding mother for 2.5 months in a facility designed only for men - her crime was to call the police for help after a DV incident. The absolute horror that she endured...I can't begin to imagine.

Nothing says welcome and joy to people awaiting their naturalization interviews like these messages in the USCIS lobby.

Panel went well! Nothing like ending a four day conference like presenting on domestic violence…but I think we still ended on a positive note - restoring hope.

I'll be honest...I was worried that our annual conference for immigration lawyers would be depressing. And while the work is hard, the main feeling I'm coming away with is RESILIENCE.

I’m glad that people are paying attention, but some of the things we see in the media are totally ‘normal’ in the immigration world. It reminds me how awful the system is and how we shouldn’t accept it.

As an immigration lawyer, my work is an active resistance… Please pray for me and my client as we have an asylum trial today!

In high school, my dream was to become a meteorologist. It was easy to get the bug and storm chase back in Kansas. Now I’m an immigration lawyer. Not sure which is more stressful, but am grateful for @altnoaa.bsky.social because they give me the best of the wx and resistance!
