A Eurasian Curlew stands alert in rough grassland dotted with white seed heads, its long, downcurved bill clearly visible as it scans its surroundings. A species of peatlands and wetlands, the Curlew is shown in habitat typical of the wild places at risk from weakened nature protections.
URGENT: our most precious wild places need your voice. βΌοΈ
The Prime Minister is considering weakening the laws that protect nature.
Estuaries. Peatlands. National Parks. The places & species we love are in the firing line again.
All on the false assumption this will speed up nuclear projects.
In a landmark step for environmental protection - Scotland has become the first country in the United Kingdom to place swift bricks into law. If Scotland can do it so can we!

Meta is putting a "Name Tag" feature in Ray-Bans - facial recognition through the glasses' camera. You look at someone, AI tells you who they are.
In an internal document, the company wrote that the timing is good because civil society groups are busy with politics and won't cause problems.
Before replacing fences, paving or decking, think about whether gaps, edges or rough areas could be left to help animals move through your garden. π¦ Leave space under fences (hedgehogs just need a 13cm Γ 13cm gap) or allow a strip of long grass to help wildlife travel, feed and shelter.
