Funny you should say that! I don't know why it's called tiger bread, but about 12 years ago, one of our supermarkets, Sainsbury's, changed its name to Giraffe Bread, because a kid had written in to say it looks like giraffe splotches!

Late to the party, but we just watched KPop Demon Hunters, and omg it's fantastic.

Needles, tattoos, piercings, emergency surgery - no problemo.
Dentists, nightmare fuel.

My follow up today was fantastic - teeth are squeaky clean, no sign of damage, no erosion or decay, no fillings or extractions required.

Very happy dentist, very happy Dan.

I'm gonna have crumbles, chutneys, and cakes coming out of my ears!

My brother-in-law's neighbour has an allotment. Because I cook, he's just brought around some of his glut.

We have plums, apples, pears, grapes, beetroot, squash, tomatoes... Apparently there's more to come.

... I really appreciate all this free fruit and veg, but holy shit.

Sometimes I need reminders that I'm not a shit human, and that actually I'm pretty alright.

I did a scary thing today. I have a phobia of dentists, after a very traumatic experience years ago. Today I booked an appointment! It sounds really simple, but I was shaking like a leaf. I'm proud of myself, and also bricking it.

In other news, I made a truly spectacular curry for dinner the other night, and we're having the leftovers tonight with some cauliflower pakora, and a dippy egg for the naan, and I'm very much looking forward to absolutely demolishing my bodyweight in coconut daal.

Today has been... Rough.

Had a client decide to trauma dump on me for 45 minutes.

Not in the headspace for conversations about grief at the moment, but I couldn't tell them that I'm not their therapist or grief counselor.

Cue downward spiral. Thursday is gonna be a tough day, I think.

In tonight's d&d game, a player has thrown a tantrum because of the DMs ruling on a monsters reaction - DM going by the letter of the statblock, and player trying to ruleslawyer unsuccessfully. He's rage quit mid combat.

Update, the Rye is *delicious*

The rye is a total experiment - I've never baked sourdough in a loaf tin, and I couldn't find a recipe for honey and oat rye that I liked the look of, so I kind of winged it, and hoped for the best. It's about 70% hydration, but with the oats and rye, it sucks up a lot of moisture... So who knows?

I use reusable showercaps for covering my dough whilst proofing. Brünhilda already has a dragon one, and now she's getting in the Hallowe'en spirit with a ghost one!

This is not an obsession, and I do not have a problem.
