Tax breaks have worked well for O’Leary and Ryanair - you can see why he would recommend them for the whole economy - but someone has to pay for them. The lack of VAT and fuel duty gifts nearly Β£20B a year from other tax payers to Britain’s airline industry.

New study shows the meat and dairy industry rivals the fossil fuel industry for planet killing methane emissions - our diet is driving the climate crisis but when it comes to action - it’s the Cow in the Room.

Well we should be tucked up in our beds in France tonight but due to our departure being put back 12 hours because of the storms we have only made it to Amsterdam, hopefully tomorrow mornings flight will be on time.

Expect the right wing media to make a fuss, but why should a small profession earning on average Β£300k a year, pay less tax National Insurance than the rest of us? There’s no good reason - it’s just another example of how our tax code was written by people with money for people with money.

I am sure that ten names Tommy Robinson’s recent visit to the clubs home ground and promise to attended the game as a Maccabi supporter may have made the West Mids police’s decision even easier to make, it’s not like his friends are partial to a bit of football violence.

More sensibly Octopus back Breaking the Link for the first time, or at least a new version of it from Greenpeace - not sure this version is as good as the original - but defo better than Zonal.

Factory farms for salmon are filthy environments that require a constant flow of clean water and constant treatment with toxic chemicals. These places are so bad that some 30 per cent of all farmed salmon simply die from their conditions, they don’t become food for customers.

We’re being told fairy tales by right wing politicians and media - it’s two things, an attempt to divide and then rule us - and a distraction from the real issues. Our Giga Poll gives the lie to these fantasies - it shows what Britain Really Thinks - buff.ly/0d4tnUH

This lot are trying to normalise racism.

But that’s not the Britain I know... andΒ our Giga Poll of 45k shows that.Β Diversity is its strength,Β not something to fear or smear. Some people, desperate for power, will say anything.

Right now green energy has just overtaken coal as the world’s biggest provider of power - that’s somethingΒ Trump and his fossil fuel funders will hate to hear - maybe that’s why they’re preventing people talking about it. Won’t change the reality though.

This makes it clear just how small the world is, how limited and precious the air that we breathe is - a fire in Canada kills 80k people worldwide. It’s relevant to low emissions zones, they take a lot of heat from the right wing, usually presenting them as an assault on motorists.
