Weather prediction is probably the most complex problem that we try to solve every single day. The fact that we have the tools to do this every day is a scientific and technological miracle. Of course these people are too dense to understand that. They think it’s easy when it’s nearly impossible.

I have no experience in web technology. Yesterday in an interview, I basically reinvented websockets to solve a problem. I had no idea what that. My expertise is in another area of the incredibly broad discipline of computer science. The interviews are one size fits all.

The weird thing about looking for tech jobs is the homogenized process used for everyone, from fresh CS undergrad to PhD specialization.
