Today,he gave a magnificent talk about cerebral organoids that help to recapitulate processes occurring in humans after birth and linked to various developmental disorders.

Hugely impressive:They were able to culture brain organoids for 5 years,and created complex models through co-culturing cells from different brain regions.

Brosius-Gersdorf zieht zurück. Respekt vor der Entscheidung - aber das ist eine Beschädigung des Rechtsstaats. Jurist*innen mit wissenschaftlichen Positionen werden so nicht mehr ins Verfassungsgericht kommen können. Kein guter Tag für die Gewaltenteilung.

Umso spannender. Denn wenn man Frau Lotter schon in eine Reihe mit Ulrich Vosgerau stellen will, dann ist ihr kürzlicher Austritt (?) aus diesem Netzwerk rechtskonservativer Jammerlappen doch nicht unerheblich. Aber klar, man kann sowas zugunsten des eigenen Narrativs auch einfach ignorieren...

Wer sich die Seite des Netzwerks genauer anschaut, stellt aber auch fest, dass Frau Lotter dort nicht mehr als Mitglied geführt wird. Bevor man auf "guilty by association" pocht, sollte man also der Fairness halber vielleicht herausfinden, warum das so ist.

Ich kann die Aufregung über das Interview von Maria-Sibylla Lotter im DLF nicht so richtig nachvollziehen. Ja,vermutlich unterschätzt sie die Gefahr,die von der AfD ausgeht. Aber deshalb gleich zur Rundfunkbeschwerde aufzurufen? Ihr müsst euch ja nicht an ihr orientieren, aber lasst sie doch irren!

But seriously, if a system that gently nudges you towards not destroying the ecosystems, on which we all depend, and that expects you to treat others with respect and dignity is already too much of an inconvenience for you, what makes you think that you would do any better in an actual dictatorship?

Because apparently growing up with the blessings of democracy can lead to a situation, where people feel completely justified in voting for hardcore totalitarians over petty grievances or the mere suggestion to change a few habits...
