The duck sprite is actually a cursed cockatrice. Uh, duckatrice.

30.07.2025 23:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, but only just before they shoot out a fireball.
(Figuring out the fireball animation is what got me into this mess - do you know how hard it is to make this still look like a jack-o-lantern while it's making a p-tooey face? Neither did I until yesterday)

Two images of a simple hand illustrated jack-o-lantern. The figure on the left has roots or a vine that suggest legs but definitely aren't. The figure on the right has an entire human body.
I was trying to animate my little pumpkin pal, but then when I turned off the onion skinning the next frame turned out to have the most accurate human torso and legs I've ever drawn in my life.
So of course I added arms but also.
What.
What am I supposed to do with this?!
Task List Yesterday:

23.07.2025 12:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0what sega never admit is that zool did defeat sonic killed him dead and now prances about the place in his skin suit and has been the real star of the sonic games for ages now except in sonic mania which cast a new actor in the role and thatβs why all the Sonic games have been like that for so long
23.07.2025 11:48 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0A sensible person would set up a store page and have links and maybe even have a proper trailer and also mention the name of their game instead of just posting random clips of whatever they worked on that day, but I'm not feeling sensible.
I made bouncing piggies!
farbs hi. if ever you wanted to revisit this, I'm game.
22.07.2025 21:05 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Hi hi! Are some of these new? I don't remember the barrels and the computer console.
I'm pretty solidly booked with Monster Bop for the forseeable future, but if you want to take a crack at Kiloton without me you are very welcome to.
Cool, and yep I totally get it. Good luck!
21.07.2025 09:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It is true! He owns a cafe here in Brighton, well, Hove actually. I think it was the source of the extremely loud music last night. The tunes were great. It was a nice thing to hear.

18.07.2025 23:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Okay yep those tiles look really fun!
I don't remember if I ever offered to collab and code for Derbytown, but it's been years since I worked on a top-down racer and I'd love to get back to it.
I'd have to chew through a lot of project backlog first though.
But yeah, maybe someday if you're keen?
Oh my goodness, that's beautiful!
18.07.2025 22:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I hadn't heard this! Previously though I've used the budget version (change socks at midday), and it works great.
18.07.2025 22:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hi Ted! Are you still working on the iso racer game from a while ago? That looked really nice.
18.07.2025 14:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0...anyway, I like how the process ensures a clean silhouette and consistently sized details / colour regions. Also I find sketching ideas much easier in lowres pixel art.
18.07.2025 14:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A pixel art goat that looks like a coloured in, higher res version of the 1-bit goat posted before, but also a bit like the vectory goat also posted before.
It's the most ridiculous art process, but I also kinda love it.
Most sprites and tiles start out as 12x12, then doubled and coloured (eg pictured here), then I chuck that in the game to test roughly how it looks and animates, then drawn over another time as a 1024x1024.
<3 Thanks Tom, it's great to see you're still setting retinas on fire! <3

How've you been?

18.07.2025 12:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A 1-bit 12x12 goat sprite displayed with a heavy CRT shader. The asset is from https://mrmotarius.itch.io/moregoblins which is excellent.
The same goat used as sprites in a first person action RPG, except now it's large areas of flat colour in a vector style that looks a tiny bit wobbly and hand-drawn. Also the goat is leaping through the air and its tongue is poking out.
Hihi!
I'm still using your wonderful Goblins tileset as the basis for some of the art in Monster Bop, and just yesterday the goat went through quite a transformation β¨
Hi Ricky! I saw Wilmot in a board game store last week!

Pretty good sounds pretty good.
I kinda hunkered in during lockdown times on solo projects and parenting, still feels like I'm only just crawling back out.
Also:
I took up circus classes and am having a blast trying to make my ancient body learn tumbling skills!
