Well deserved Chris! π
23.10.2025 15:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Staggering. So my husband who has worked here for 10 years and has ILR (he qualifies for citizenship but thatβs an extra Β£2k we donβt have right now) could be deported if he lost his job? Is it that stark? Assuming this wonβt generate any actual support or go anywhere?
23.10.2025 11:17 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0That's really good news.
But why do all those microphones look like they are bobbing along on a sea of sound waves?
I mean, Iβm actually a Labour Party member, but his approach is very impressive so far!
22.10.2025 17:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I agree with this: Make Hope Normal Again is a brilliant slogan for our times. @zackpolanski.bsky.social is shifting the narrative, not just responding to it... And, let's face it, it's high time someone did that! π
21.10.2025 19:26 β π 171 π 41 π¬ 2 π 0Unbelievable story β and such a contrast to the way other staff at stadiums have reacted. I still remember how an off-duty doctor worked with team staff to save Fabrice Muamba in 2012. π

07.07.2025 11:12 β π 46 π 21 π¬ 3 π 0It was great to become Chartered with the @cipr.co.uk last week. It was a rigorous, but enjoyable assessment day, with sessions around ethics, leadership and strategy.
For any PR leaders who have been too busy to get chartered (as I always was!) I would recommend putting some time aside for it.

What a nonsense statement though. In what way has the UK been a βone nation experiment in open bordersβ? Our borders are in no way open, and almost every country in the world has increased migration in the last decade.
12.05.2025 08:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why hasnβt the government pushed this more? I donβt get itβ¦
12.05.2025 07:53 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Likely the announcement that Doncaster-Sheffield airport would be re-opened was enough to enable Labour to hang on to the Doncaster Mayoralty, certainly in our Doncaster focus groups it came up as a big plus for the incumbent mayor. Lesson - Government showing it can do things is popular.

A really interesting report from the @cipr.co.uk here. The UK is strikingly poor on transparency around lobbying, but itβs in everyoneβs interest to know whoβs influencing whoβ¦ π

15.03.2025 12:34 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for responding. But perhaps itβs not sick pay, but general approaches to making a job work for someone with health issues. All of this is against a backdrop of UK employers trying to streamline their workforce and be as productive as possibleβ¦ perhaps thereβs the conflict π€·ββοΈ
12.03.2025 14:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is employer approach a potential reason for the difference?
Could it be that the increase in various health issues are similar, but people in other countries feel more able to work despite some ill health?

06.03.2025 09:30 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting study from @cipr.co.uk - although the majority of pros are women, men are more likely to become leaders.
βWe identified a culture within practice that exhausts women through constant pressure to prove their worth, manage impossible expectations, and navigate gendered double standards.β
