as i go about
my deathly serious task
of surviving

between the rain and the sun

my laughter flows
into your sweet
rainblossom mouth
and i can hear peonies
growing
through the wholeness of memory
and i can hear a petal password
for our return

within the echoes of my heart
in the spaces of endearment
plays my hiraeth melody
melancholic musings
always singing your name
wistful evocations
of you my love
a time when your arms
were once my home
