Capitalism is inherently authoritarian in its structure, and prevents any actual "democracy" from representing the broader masses.

As a socialist I am not interested in electoralism because it serves the interests of the bourgeoisie rather than the electorate. The candidates under a liberal capitalist "democracy" serve the interests of capital by upholding the system. You cannot have democracy while in a capitalist regime

Trump is the forward face of the ruling class, but he is not the entirety of the ruling class - this is not how class works. The ruling class are all those who control the means of production/capital and in turn support Trump to that end (Bezos, Musk, Thiel, etc)
