#WritingCommunity I've now started on the first draft of my final chapter. It feels surreal to see my story starting to come to a close.

Sadly, I'm not in a book club. I try to read daily, but I'm a slow reader, so each book takes me a while.

Thanks! I'm actually debating doing this regularly for Indy authors. My only concern is that a single person is responsible for all library purchasing in my county, and I'm afraid he might start ignoring me if he saw my name too much.

That's true. Sometimes I wonder if the problem isn't the influencers, but the fans who are too naive to realize it's a show.

#HorrorWritersChat Question 4: My book. For anyone unaware, I'm writing a sequel to the Universal adaptation of Dracula from 1931. It's Public Domain in 2027, and God willing I'll self-publish on New Years Day! Shorten copyright protections! 95 years is absurd!

I have a rule that every weekday must end with my manuscript at least 100 words longer. I almost always fulfill that, barring days when cuts have to be made during editing. Usually its several hundred words longer.

To be clear: It's sad I won't have the money to retire soon. Not that I'll be a father.
