Now that the Nats have enshrined in policy that their constituency is the fossil fuel industry, is there a party whose constituency is farmers, a group increasingly significantly impacted by climate change?

Australian Government rules out TDM exception for AI training; stands behind creative industries - Australian Society of Authors We welcome the Albanese governmentโ€™s decision to rule out a Text and Data Mining exception to Australian copyright law.

Like all northern hemisphere traditions, it makes little sense here. If we are going to celebrate something relevant to those of us with European roots, at this time of year, it should be Beltane.
And, I loathe all the plastic crap.

Israeli weapons companies should be removed from Sydney defence expo, MPs and human rights experts say Exclusive: Australian member of UN commission criticises Elbit and Rafael for being โ€˜key enablersโ€™ of Israelโ€™s war on Gaza * Get our breaking news email, free app or daily news podcast Two government MPs alongside human rights experts have called for Israelโ€™s largest weapons companies to be removed from a defence conference in Sydney next week, which is sponsored by the state government. Just an observer from down under. Food stamps are corrupt in they allow big businesses to not pay a fair living wage with the government making up the rest. Itโ€™s a corporate welfare system.

Whales need krill to survive. We want it for supplements. Marine mammals that almost went extinct are now competing with commercial trawlers for food.

Krill can remove as much as 23 megatons of c02 from the atmosphere annually.
and supports the diets of several whale species, including the largest animals to ever exist, seabirds, seals, and more.
Now humans are taking that krill threatening marine life

Humanitarian workers must be allowed to reach people in urgent need across Sudan.

Civilians must never be targeted. Aid convoys must never be blocked.

Respect for international humanitarian law is an obligation, not an option.
