It is a shame that the other side persists in this self destructive behavior. However, the ultimate endgame is in taking them down and this compromise may lead the way towards that.

SNAP is being restored through this new bill and given an increase, along with other programs. The administration was in court today still trying to take it away but this new agreement is restoring for a year. @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com explained it on his show tonight, worth watching.

I’m afraid I don’t agree. What would be your best solution to this situation?

They were always going after healthcare, they just thought that it wouldn’t catch up to them until after the midterms.

That clause was tucked away in their big bogus bill but due to this shutdown showdown, it came to light that much sooner. Sometimes, you have no other game but the long game.

…Is the other side going to try & get out of voting on the ACA? Of course and let’s face it; they were hoping to delay that vote until after the midterms but now it’s all out in the open now.

This may not feel like a win but in the long term, it will be. Let the villain think they’re winning! 4/4

.. and a certain Congress woman has to be sworn in(no stalling until 12/2). If they want to have folks able to fly & shop by Thanksgiving, the other side has no other choice.
