In a peculiar way, Trump is not that different in his mindset to old Soviet leaders. He cannot grasp the notion that something important would happen in a country that was not directed and approved by its leadership.

The question I would ask is how the UK’s national interest coincides with someone treating to invade and annex a NATO ally? Who invites Putin, the biggest threat to European security, to join his board of peace. Who imposes tariffs on UK at a whim?

I feel like America plotting to annex Greenland while masked state goons terrorise their own communities at will should encourage British press and politicians to reflect on what happens when you act like "far right" is an unfair slur rather than a necessary descriptor of a real political position.
