I’d argue that calling out Chappell for using their platform in an industry he’s not a part of is more performative than anything she did.

This is a slippery slope argument that detracts from the issue she’s raising awareness toward.

And yet, how many VPs and Executives salaries will be paid out of the money she creates for the label? I understand the world doesn’t owe most artists shit, but I do think Chappell’s label owes her 30 seconds of “virtue signaling.”

Is he not addressing American voters? Why isn’t he addressing Americans whites who vote monolithically for white candidates?
