I easily have 10 hypotheses about our web sites performance every day, I used to maybe get answers to 2 of them, now I just talk into Claude and get answers to all 10 which helps me validate or invalidate my gut and sharpens my intuition better than ever.

If your webpages are > 2MB, Google may crawl it all. If you render URLs in SC and see missing content, check file sizes

If you run a large-scale/complex site, this is important. Make sure you know where Googlebot could go crazy crawling. E.g. As Gary said, "once Googlebot discovers a set of URLs, it cannot make a decision about whether that URL space is good or not unless it crawled a large chunk of that URL space"

If ChatGPT (and other LLMs) are retrieving snippets from Google's search results, they aren't retrieving exact meta descriptions; they are retrieving whatever Google dynamically re-wrote the meta description to based on the query.

Always interesting to see how links are handled by browsers. That can def. impact traffic. Firefox just launched link preview in the stable version. Long-press a link and you see a popup with more info about the destination. And if activated, you can see an AI summary of the destination page
