I love this movie and am happy to have finally been able to record on it ๐งก Thanks John & Juliet for discussing!

On her desk are a water bottle, an analysis of the 2025 Frankenstein movie, a Cthulhu figure, a Solaire praising the Sun figure, and various mundane items.
Jala's Spirit City avatar is sitting on the exterior balcony of the train, reading a book with her bee familiar. They are surrounded by lanterns and pumpkins; it is nighttime and the city passes by in the background.
Good morning from the command center.
Worked on my game and wrote 1K words to kick off Act 4 after prepping some state trackers etc for the mandatory and potential shifts during Act 3 ๐
See also my Spirit City avatar in the spirit of the season; it always hangs out on one of my screens.
I'm voting this afternoon after work!

I would be surprised if she won that one!
Criterion Blu-ray would be GREAT! ๐ค๐ค๐ค
You gotta post when you watch it!!! ๐ฉ๐งก
Yes! His illustrations for the novel are iconic!
I just found out he and Steve Niles wrote a short comic continuation of the story of the creature.
Give a man a napkin, and you've helped him keep his face clean during one meal.
Teach a man to steal extra napkins from every corporate chain restaurant he ever visits, and you've helped him keep his face clean for a lifetime.
Ah, I see. I figured it was something like that, but this is the first time I have watched a Netflix-funded movie in theater. I just hope they release a physical version of the movie eventually. I want a deluxe edition with extras!
I live in southern US, so it only just yesterday cooled down some.
Some folks here start celebrating spooky season mid-September well into November.
I was really surprised by the limited run of this movie in theaters, to say nothing of the delayed Netflix release. It's so good, and Halloween is the best time to watch it!
Awesome! I have hardcovers of both 1818 and 1831 editions & one with critical analysis/comparison of versions/analysis of themes. I'd like to get the illustrated versions too.
For the movie I have the artbook, a critical analysis & I preordered GDT's screenplay but it releases end of November ๐ฉ
The Berni Wrightson art is peak! ๐ฅ If you don't have a copy perhaps a used bookstore will have it sooner or later. I have several editions of the novel myself!
Crowdfunding for the manuscripts? ๐ฑ๐ฅ So cool! That will be a lot of fun!
Elizabeth from Frankenstein in a blue gown with a scarab necklace, which is real Tiffany jewelry. Her fan is blue and white and is actually a print of an x-ray.
Right? Missed chance!
I have watched some interviews and behind the scenes clips. So many details to notice. The big coffee table book I have on it is full of photos, concept art, interviews and GDT's notebooks. Gorgeous.
Fun fact: Elizabeth's fan here is actually a print of an x-ray!
Oh, you definitely need to see it somehow! I'm excited for when you do. It's so artfully done. I even wrote a short fanfic ๐คญ
Do you know, London has an exhibit of the making of the movie complete with props and costumes etc? I hope it travels the world!
More theaters opened up with the movie in my area after opening weekend. You might check again, fingers crossed for you! ๐ค๐ฝ
It is so artfully done. The original novel is one of my favorite books, and I feel that this movie is an improvement on the story. That's not something I say casually!

It is so refreshing when a creator has such a profound love & understanding of the source material It is abundantly clear from the largest set piece to the tiniest little detail that he poured absolutely everything into this film.

Photos of those two from the Insight Editions coffee table "making of" artbook which came out 2 days ago. Not the best photos because the pages are so shiny โจ
