The part where they threatened to break a judge’s car windows should be a bigger story … they feel comfortable treating judges this way, which means they are being told that they can do literally anything to nearly everyone

I just keep looking at these words, imagining hearing them said out loud in a courtroom, and then thinking "that would be a very poorly scripted courtroom drama because no prosecutor would ever be so stupid."

I have been politically conscious across four decades and have witnessed countless shameless liars assume positions of great power in this country, but I do not recall any so shameless (and so transparent) a liar as the current Speaker of the House.

This is such a routine story at this stage, including the second act: "my friends turned on me when I betrayed our shared ideals - so much for the tolerant left."

I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

It happened Friday and didn't even get picked up for several days. One reporter mentioned it buried in a lengthy tweet with many other bullet points. He did this on camera in front of the whole traveling pool and they not only said nothing, none thought it was even remarkable enough to be a story.
