I bought a new car last week. It was actually rather suddenly for me as I usually ponder for ages before acting. Today it appears I did so just in the nick of time.

Third straight day of security review meetings. I'm beginning to understand why animals will gnaw a limb off to get out of a trap.

Hardest part of getting a new car was removing all of the embellishments that made the old car mine. But now I'm enjoying figuring out what to add to the new car. Just waiting for the delivery on the "Tell your dog I said Hi" decal.

Gotta love a Monday where you discover the "finished" request is only half finished because they needed to do it the way you said and not the way they wanted. Sigh.

Every time I hear someone is an influencer all I can think of is that they are basically a current day Billy Mays.

Nothing like a big all day meeting to remind you of what you hate for speakers to do. My company has enough security in place that the security training they assigned me wouldn't run because the content was blocked.

Months ago the vacuum started roaring. I sensed imminent demise and ordered a new one. Before that even arrived the old one recovered. Today I moved the new one out of the way so I could put away snow gear. So of course the original died halfway through the work. So I dug the new one out again.

We are not fans of Daylight Savings time in this house. My son probably made it on time to work by a whisker. Luckily he often doesn't always eat first thing in the morning. It was a mad dash none the less.

Some days I can find nothing uplifting on the web. Today even the weather site is depressing.

Trimmed my tree first since that is the most arduous task. Took a break but then the wind kicked up. No way to rake in gusty wind. Sigh. Plus the storm door was flung past open and the closing mechanism bent. I've got it off so the door closes but it will require a replacement. Sigh again.

There is something so pathetic about a car idling in the parking lot so that the driver can get a spot closer to the door. OF THE GYM! No sir I will roll right back into my spot and turn off the engine rather than watch you pull in when you've been sitting the next lane over idling.

Finally after a few warm days we have the first signs that winter will end.

Not sure if this was a bad time for a phishing test or a great one. I trust no one right now and I'm sure as heck not clicking a random link. (Not that I usually would but even less now).

Today is brutal. So many retirements. Not that I blame them. The collective loss of knowledge and experience is devastating.

I truly enjoy doing work peer reviews when I know the person I'm reviewing. I like singing praises where earned and making suggesting if warranted. I'm really glad the company abandoned peer reviews for people in your group if you haven't worked with them. Because that was just stupid.

So far this week I've set fire to a potholder that fell from the counter into the oven while the door was propped open to let the heat out and eaten what I thought was a cocktail peanut from my stash but was actually a peanut from the super hot squirrel proof birdseed bell. And it's only Monday.

My work life in one chat - Lead: We need you to do this thing. Me: I did than and have the confirmation it was completed Lead: I told boss you had probably already done it.

As if the greater issues aren't enough stress, I get to add weekly sightings of wrong way drivers to my woes. I've gotten mostly used to the daily red light runners.

Filed under other people's drama - my neighbor "Lisa" was complaining to me today about moving. I knew her daughter owns the house, I figured she'd married the guy that moved in, but apparently living with Mom and Grandma is beyond his ability.
