A very rare twitch for me, but I was heading out in that direction anyway (not). A trip to Keynsham to see the Desert Wheatear that arrived on Saturday.

A good morning along Berkeley Shore checking if Friday's Snow Bunting might still be around ( no such luck of course). A couple of Snipe was my best plus this gorgeous male Stonechat. #ukbirding

I joined the steady stream of local birders visiting the drake Common Scoter on the Sharpness Canal. Today by Purton timber ponds. Amazing to see such a duck so close on still water.

I dropped in at lunchtime today and pleased to find the bird. Unfortunately, it was very distant, so it was a real challenge for me to pick out from the many redshank. A lifer for me.
