I was in Honduras for a while years back and knew a couple of people who had family members 'disappeared'. They were later working in the same office with people that worked with the groups that did it. There isn't always a resolution to these things.

I think he's probably used to being able to throw that out to most groups he talks to and have it make him seem credible that it didn't occur to him that everyone in that room has done that and so much more that it's actually pretty insignificant to them.

~ what a hexcrawl is like and how it runs if you haven't done it before. It's a gritty setting and I like to be upfront about it, especially for people that have more experience with games set in a more forgiving world.

~ doesn't have experience with the hexcrawl style of play. Not exactly a training mission, but something that takes place in one or two of the travel boxes and try to use it to show that moving, at least for a while, is a necessity.
It's also something to explain in a session zero ~

Yeah, like Peter said, there aren't really any 'out of the box' prepared adventures. It isn't hard to use one of the encounters provided and make it into a more traditional module type adventure, if you don't mind doing some prep work.
