I'm grateful that there's still a small but dedicated community and that it hasn't been completely abandoned. Really looking forward to when BGS gives us an update about the next expansion (or ANY news really).

He's a shitty human being in general, so none of this is shocking. Why is this even a story?

It's not for everyone. I get it. I do encourage players to smell the roses and stick with it, without eyeing the prerequisites for perk upgrades or skill points. Let those things come naturally and just *live* in the universe - do actual roleplay - THAT is what this game is built for, and it works.

I love interacting with NPCs. It's always sad when I've exhausted every line of dialog, but I eventually find a new NPC with a story I haven't heard, or an obscure quest I haven't tried - none of which I would have discovered if I hadn't slowed down and taken my time. This is where Starfield shines.

I enjoy finding the perfect spot to settle on alien worlds with gorgeous views, and spending hours decorating to tell a story about their purpose and who lives there. I assign crew, give them backstories, and tailor their surroundings to their personalities and traits. They're literally dollhouses.

But in spite of all of that, there's so much to love.

Ship building in general is so satisfying. I get immense gratification out of crafting well-balanced, purpose-built spacecraft to add to my star-faring menagerie, and customizing the interiors to reflect the missions and lore of the universe.

On top of this, vendor credit limitations - combined with an inability to scrap/recycle items for useful parts or junk - create a huge economic/resource bottleneck that requires countless rest periods to legitimately clear your storage, or forfeit any profit from acquired loot. It demands sacrifice.
