A pan full of slices of said tomatoes and a few green peppers from the garden along with chunks of onion and a bulb’s worth of garlic cloves, all drizzled with olive oil and some balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with salt and pepper

We had this steak a year ago on our anniversary. It’s been haunting my dreams ever since so we did it again

Two that I loved this year were The Correspondent and Why Fish Don’t Exist (one of each 🙂)

Team meetings can also go out of control v quickly. I spend a lot of time with my head in my hands trying to figure out how we got here 😅

One of the guys who works for me with a big spoonful of potato chips getting shoveled into his mouth. The expression on his face is… intense.

After he ate his broccoli cheddar soup he spooned every potato chip into the bowl with his spoon and then ate them like cereal. I just. Why.

Every time I go to lunch w my team, I wish I could convey just how unhinged the experience is. I get that Gen Z humor is different but it’s far beyond that…. Every conversation goes completely off the rails within 30 seconds. Anyway this is one of my guys eating chips out of a soup bowl with a spoon

Yep. Amazon quickly became a logistics company that happened to sell stuff - people bought the convenience as much as the products.

I have this hanging at my desk at work. I need the regular reminder. “Still, life has some possibility left.” In spite of it all.

Donate to Help Rob Rebuild After Plane Crash, organized by Sam Aubrey My name is Sam. My mom's boyfriend, Rob, has lost everything today in the UPS plane cras… Sam Aubrey needs your support for Help Rob Rebuild After Plane Crash

if we had a functioning society we wouldn’t need this patchwork of aid but here is a GoFundMe for a man who lived in a (now destroyed) RV on the property of one of the businesses the UPS plane struck. he also worked there so he is out of a job and a home (in addition to losing friends in the crash)

Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

I have no idea why she was campaigning anywhere near where we lived; we were 7 miles from the closest town and it seems insane that she would be driving that far out in the hills. She was everywhere!

I met her when I was 4. While campaigning for governor she had driven across the low-water bridge a half mile from my house and promised constituents that if she became governor, she’d have it replaced. I met her when she flew in on a helicopter for the dedication after it was built.
