It turned out to be quite tricky and, frankly, damn dangerous, so I went back to regular paper.

It looks delicious. Is it also vegan?

Doth bend to teach her pupil, young and keen,
I mark not logic's progress in that place,
But apples ripening on the scholastic scene....
So let the student have his bookish strife;
I'll eat the apple and call it the fruit of life.

01.12.2025 22:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Evaluation isn't the whole purpose of every college class. University suffers from the elementary principal that grading every paper helps people learn (it does not).
Just being a stick about grades for the purpose of status defeats the purpose of ingenuity.
It's NOT academic freedom when the professors are grading work for a class that you paid for yourself. Some of the time, the real reason for taking a class is to evaluate yourself, not to be the subject of evaluation.
Evaluation helps some people learn, but it is not universally true or necessary.
What was the prompt? I didn't even see it.

I had a girlfriend in the MPA program. I used to help her revise her essays.
01.12.2025 17:09 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It wasn't my essay, and it's not really the point. Graders are jerks, especially when they are grad students.
The real issue is that OU took it too far and fired the Trans(girl/boy) teacher.
Now it is....
01.12.2025 17:00 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Mel made the issue by refusing to grade the opposite point of view. SHE clearly only wanted her point of view regurgitated back to her like College Profs do.
That is my main critique of the College scenario. They pretend to accept multiple points of view but really they just want more Orthodoxy.
That's the problem with "nesting" your "skeets". I (and other students as well) can't make heads or tails of where the logic became polemic.
01.12.2025 16:56 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Grades back, I never had a chance to challenge or review the grad he gave me.
So he pretty much failed me out of college over an exam where he demanded impossible references (for an elective that I didn't even need for my transcript).
How is that for Orthodox? ⁉️
My Phi 101 doc was a jerk, and used Kant's critique of pure reason as the basis for his exam.
He wanted a bunch of footnotes (from memory) and refused to accept a critique of the "Lesser than Greatest conception" argument as "Proof of God".
Then because it was the winter semester when we got our
I'm not sure the constraints on an essay like this, but if it was a impromptu test essay I think it's fine. There are no footnotes or studies (how would that be available on a test?) but it does cite Hebrew language and biblical analysis.
01.12.2025 16:41 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Why did OU dismiss a junior Prof for making the mistake of refusing to review her grade? Not material to TPUSA or this girl's essay.
The question we (and the prof) should ask, is would that student change their answer once they had been graded a certain way. ⁉️
This girl made a cogent argument but you are denying (along with the professor who was fired) that there ARE other points of view, and that grading an essay on its merits requires the SAME analysis that the PROFESSOR wanted.
There is nothing wrong with the structure or writing of this essay.
