So by the time he's done, we won't even be able to call them the Barca U40s any more!

This is what, the third time he's "terminated all trade talks?" It just means he thinks he can get Carney to cave on another issue.

Pretty sure you can still do that in FM Mobile, but that's only available with a Netflix subscription, and FMM26 won't release until November. I used to love getting through a few games on my bus rides.

Copilot too. Microsoft seems to be all in on making Windows "AI powered". Of course, these companies make it hard to fully turn all of that off.

Made up for this movie. This is more or less a fresh start, but portrays a universe that obviously has some history. They'll explain anything you need to know as they go.

My official report from watching the warmup: Pupe is really tall.

My desktop, on which I run 11, only has a microphone attached when I play RPGs online. Copilot better stay the heck out of my Lancer game!

I didn't realize this was happening in 11; figured they'd do in 12. But with 10 ending support, I've been getting used to Linux Mint on my old laptop, not a very steep learning curve. I guess that'll come in handy when I take 11 out behind the barn sooner than expected.

They're in. If everything goes wrong for the Whitecaps next week, they'd finish fifth, but one of the teams above them would be Miami who have already qualified through Leagues Cup. So the Whitecaps are guaranteed an MLS spot, and Vancouver FC get the CanChamp spot.

It's entirely in line with Carney's priorities so far: shovel obscene amounts of money into military spending, and place big business interests ahead of the rest of Canadians.

San Jose made a big mistake not dressing Ford for this one.

It's great news for the Whitecaps, but I feel bad for Berhalter.

Heck with VAR, I'd be happy if they could manage to not spread a 3-4 round tournament over six months.

Would prefer an actual leftie, but it's clear the party needs to work out what it wants to be, and that conversation should include even the closeted conservative wing. If they screw it up and go centrist, it just means they don't want us, and I'll oblige.

Already playing out in boardgames and RPGs, with the predictable result that everyone's adjusting their supply and fulfillment chains to avoid the US as much as possible.

They're still pretty big for sports games. But what seems likely to be affected by the Bigotry Buyout is probably things like Star Wars and The Sims.

I think Cabrera looks a little lost at CAM. There's a big gap in the middle, pretty much where our attack goes to die.

Was this a training injury, or lingering from the Philadelphia game?

From the beginning of the CPL, my reaction has been "it's cool to have a league, but how many of these clubs are viable?" It seemed - and still seems - like they're on a model where they expect an owner to have very deep pockets, and hope the business catches up with the investment some day.

Believe Carney was either in Mexico, or on his way there at the time. But it looks like quite a few of his cabinet stood and clapped.

She also saw a potential for that kind of movement to take hold in the US (from her perspective in 1985, mind you). And so far, not a lot has happened to prove her wrong.

You don't have to take my word for it; she's spoken at length about her process and inspirations over the last 40 years.

As I said, she was inspired by lots of authoritarian religious movements around the world. But all the visual trappings and such you see are specifically from Christianity, because that's what form she figured those ideas would take in the US.

Per Atwood, the Republic of Gilead is explicitly based on early American Puritan culture. She was inspired by a lot of different authoritarian religious movements, but specifically looking for a way they could take hold in the US, which turned out to be a Christian autocracy.

I'm just saying that your idea about it being easy to refuse orders is wrong. Use that information as you like.

15.09.2025 00:45 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 24    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 5    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Failure to follow lawful orders is a pretty serious offense, and it can take years of legal action to have orders declared unlawful. So any soldier making that decision is taking a pretty big risk.
