Nearing the end of season 1 of Mad Men and they really don’t make shows like this anymore. Long form drama with a monster/ad-campaign of the week format. It just works.

Finally watched Sinners and ended up really enjoying it. The Jack O’Connell literally jumps into the movie and starts messing shit up!

Fuck me. The stupidity of some people who interact with these things.

As in the old way of a steady stream of trailers doesn’t really work anymore. It’s all about immediacy. People want to hear about the movie and go see it immediately if they have availability otherwise they’ll just wait for streaming or not see it at all.

Key thing to note is that advertising and promoting a film is completely broken at the moment. They’ll do the usual social media, YouTube and talk show blitz when the film comes out.

The Star Wars fandom is currently up in arms at the Mando and Grogu Super Bowl spot. A fun little ad that was targeting people who aren’t already going to be in line to see the film on day one.

From their reaction you’d think the Mandalorian had drop kicked Grogu over the goal or something.

The big difference between this rewatch of Mad Men and my last one is that I no longer smoke. This show man, it’s giving me major cravings and it’s been a good 12 or so years since my last cig.

Playing Fire Emblem Engage has got me wanting to make a little SRPG as a side project. So weird that so few games outside of FE and Advance Wars go for simpler tactical combat.

I’m in the give me more remasters, re-releases and remakes of all the games camp. This industry is terrible at preserving its history and these are often the best/only way to easily play older games on newer hardware.
