Haven't finished the episode yet, so someone may have mentioned, but in Utah many of us call the soda shops Mormon bars. They sadly outnumber actual bars by a lot. While neither are healthy I'll take the real bar any day.

Having also grown up in Utah during things like the satanic panic, I was delighted to see Ozzy Osbourne at the David O. McKay center in 1996. I'm sure Thom understands the irony of that venue name with Ozzy as the artist.

Fantastic. I listened to this yesterday and it was in my head for about an hour this morning when I woke up. Been awhile since I listened to the original.

Mine is Shoshone falls because it reminds me I want to be outside more and at a desk less.

Watching S4E5 as I read this. We love it. The episode we're watching is full of comedic weirdness.

Primm stories were fun. I rode the Desparado many times in its early years. What mostly comes to my mind now is a former co-worker/"friend" whose activities in Primm on his way to California were largely what got him convicted of murdering his parents (many years since I'd seen him).

Still catching up on The Spoon after my memorial day weekend hospital moment, but I will highly recommend Pee Wee Herman. I'm only a little bit into part 2, but it's excellent so far.

And, while I appreciate the thoughts (and even prayers) of those who knew my situation, I truly appreciate the skills, expertise, and execution of an awesome surgeon and team who selected me for a trial procedure and performed it close to flawlessly.

Not that they'll see it, but shout out to U of U Health Interventional Radiology for surgery one week ago at the time of this post. It was potentially lifesaving and has me back to ~100% in 1 week, where other routes could have included death or a very long recovery and not a 100% recovery.

I promise she has done other things before coming back to that spot today.

Lounging Bean #caturday

On my photo rotation today, another example of wanting to be outside more: Iceland, Oct. 2019. However, I could live without what became my new definition of wind.

Doing yardwork yesterday was also better than sitting inside at a desk, but not as good as awesome waterfalls and black sand beaches.

Episode humored me due to the Disney and Osmond topics. Tangentially, my uncle (mormon to the day he died) coached the Osmond Brothers (not Donny/Marie) including getting them meetings and performances with Walt and the Dapper Dans at Disneyland and later managed and coached the Dapper Dans.

While not the window seat, Yoshi is also enjoying the sun on #caturday.
